My name is Maria. People ask me what about the "Scientist Quilter" name. Well, I am a chemist with a PhD in biochemistry. For many years I've been working on cancer research. As a full time research scientist and a mom of two teenagers I  love to unwind and relax by sewing, quilting, crocheting and anything crafty! I'm passionate about teaching others how to make unique useful crafts. My goal is to find joy creating and promoting the benefits of developing a hobby outside of work. I'm  opening my studio to provide inspiration, education, and fostering a community of like-minded individuals.
