Service Description

Admission is rolling, so sign up any time! There are no set sessions; just plan when you would like to come as long as the teacher is available. You can register for a single 1 hour class for $25 as needed. Usually I'm available to teach Tuesdays after 6pm. But please contact me if you would like to set up another time. This session is for students who already took the course "Intro Adult Machine Sewing Basics" Bring your own fabric and patterns for a more advanced project, or allow us to guide your learning experience with a selection of beginner, adult-oriented projects. You're welcome to use our sewing machines. This is the perfect class for those who would like to continue sewing on a regular basis and are not ready to commit to a weekly class. Project packages are available for purchase at the studio. Depending on the project type, prices ranges from $25 - $50 per project materials. Schedule is flexible and each session can be scheduled depending on our availability.

Cancellation Policy

KIDS WEEKLY CLASSES: Students can withdraw anytime. Please give a 4 week notice of cancellation. You will receive a refund of the remaining classes after the 4 weeks of notice of cancellation ( ie: if there are 8 remaining sessions, you will be refunded 4 sessions.) +Make-up class policy: There are no refunds or credits for missed classes. We may offer make ups, if schedule allows it, but make ups are not guaranteed. Make up spots become available when another student misses a class. I ask parents to let me know when your child will be missing (with as much anticipation as they can), knowing that helps me make spots available for students that want make up a missed class. There are no make ups for missed make ups. Make up classes must be scheduled during the session the class was missed and are not transferable to the next session. Winter weather policy- You will be notified via e-mail or text when class has to be canceled due to inclement weather. The first class canceled due to inclement weather will not be rescheduled. A make up classes will be scheduled after the second canceled "snow day", i.e. if two Saturdays are canceled for snow, one Saturday will be made up. If more than one class has been canceled due to snow, then make-up options may be presented to students and families on a class-by-class basis depending on the workshop's availability. Missed make-up classes will not be rescheduled. Although we will make every effort to make-up all canceled classes during the winter session, it cannot guarantee that all make-ups will occur. Scientist Quilter Studio cannot provide refunds for canceled classes due to inclement weather. ONE DAY WORKSHOPS: There are no refunds, make-ups or credits for non-attendance. If notice is given 7+ days from workshop date, a full refund minus $25 non-refundable fee will be given. If you can't attend, you may find someone to fill your spot. If cancellation is made 6 or less days before workshop date, no refund will be given. If a class needs to be cancelled by us, a full refund will be given to all students.
